Summary
Freya and Lewt return to the library 46 min into episode
The library’s a mess because of the storm gods. Freya wraps up the book-mimic with Morrigan and Kaa’Riin in it and she and Lewt try to follow her bookmark by going up an obstacle course. The Spirit of Wind interferes causing damage. They see the librarian, Finaty, Gurg and the vampire fighting on the main floor below.
Freya's Baby Bookmark
The vampire turns into mist and catches up with Freya and Lewt. She wants the gem they got on the train so she can destroy it. Freya agrees to protect Lewt. Morrigan and Kaa’Riin re-appear and the five of them make their way to the top of the tower where Freya’s bookmark is tapping on the vault door.
Gurg and Kuzo catch up to the women and Lewt.
They are about to open the vault by sacrificing the vampires soul gem when the Lord of Lightning attacks and the episode ends.
Flashbacks and Asides
Beast who took the vampire’s blood was an eternal undead. She killed him but lost her humanity in the process.
Eline's Lure
Stacey as Grendel, and Alana as Carmen, are in another universe trying to save Carmen's daughter Lorett who's been sacrificed. They sail to the edge of the ocean where there's an old god who's in a mist form. It's waiting for prayer to breakdown the wall between it and the world. When Carmen asks for her daughter back the god says she tried to care for her people but her voice didn't reach them. It asks if there's still faith.
Carmen trust falls off the boat into the god's hand.
They find themselves back at an earlier point in time when Lorett was still alive but it's more than that, it's a different dimension. Carmen intervenes so that she's sacrificed instead of her daughter.
Grendel's wife (played by Ilana), who also died, reappears as a ghost. She brings him the token of her love that he had lost by using it as a fishing lure.
Before Kaa’Riin and Morrigan reappear in Kalee they each get a boon. Kaa’Riin gets her fishing lure. With this she can steal someone else's ability once. Morrigan gets to choose to have a vision once per long rest. They lose a feat.
Later in the podcast, and on Discord, Corey clarified that Lorett became one with the god. Furthermore, the god was the one who threw the golden spear at Dornus' mother.
