Episode 2: Lost at Sea[]
Summary[]
The episode picks up right as tentacles from the deep are surrounding the ship. The girls and Dutch fight, Lewt hides. The monster turns Dutch upside down and gems fall onto the deck, Morrigan is drawn to red and blue ones. Kaa’Riin tells a thorn in paw story and considers that the monster is asking for help, fails roll. Tentacle reacts to the axe in an odd way - they try to grab her axe. Dutch is in trouble underwater but tentacles are searching him rather than constricting him (see asides). It wants the magic gems as well. The group are able to damage some of the tentacles but they start growing back. The tentacles leave when the last gems go over the edge. The trio got red and blue gems. Freya and Morrigan rescue Dutch from the water.
The group runs ashore on a beach next to a lighthouse that isn’t pointing out to sea. Dutch is in bad shape. The lighthouse disintegrates an undead sailor made up of mismatch body parts from their ship. However, the power fails as Morrigan moves onto the beach. During the night some of the women’s stuff is stolen. They head out to the market to get sniffle shade, autumn root, and shavings of moonlight for healing.
They find proud stone statues of Justicars (leaders) looking away from the town centre which is a portal. There’s a badly damaged statue that looks like Morrigan wearing a gem necklace. A gem is stolen from Morrigan, the trio chase after two girls. The city guard recognizes Morrigan as someone with power. However, the girls (changelings) recognized Freya and wanted to impress her. They get their stuff back.
